Working Safely In Your Home – Homeowner Guide

This means we have pledged to follow best practice safety measures in order to carry out boiler installations and gas maintenance work in your home. We ask you to follow some guidelines to protect your household and our installer whilst the work is carried out.

IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS OF CORONAVIRUS, INFORM US IMMEDIATELY. You should get medical advice and self-isolate, following UK Government guidance.

Is a home visit necessary?

Ask us if it is possible to resolve any queries without us needing to visit.

Ask if it’s possible for us to conduct a virtual survey to get a quote. Using video-calling such as Skype, we may be able to help you safely resolve the problem yourself.

If a visit to your home is required

Preparations to make on the day:

• Make a clear pathway to the area we need to work in.
• Open all the internal doors so we can limit contact with surfaces.
• Upon arrival Ask to see our identity card and what measures we will be taking to work safely in your home.
• DO NOT shake hands.
• Maintain a 2-metre distance at all times.
• If possible, ask household members to stay in another room while the installer is at work.
• Don’t offer us a cuppa –we will bring our own drink.

Payment

Once the work is complete, please pay us using a credit or debit card where possible, rather than using cash.
