Making the Most of Radiators

Making the Most of Radiators

The world of radiators offers a range of new and exciting solutions for homeowners. More than just a heating appliance, your radiators can be an important part of your home décor. The ability to mix and match them around the home means you can have feature radiators in the living room, kitchen and bathroom – along with your master bedroom and en-suite – whilst using less exciting alternatives in the lesser-used rooms of the home.

Making the Most of Radiators

Nowadays, there’s a radiator for virtually any application: new build homes; refurbishment projects; or bespoke applications – even commercial developments.

Vertical leap

Many customers are choosing non-standard radiators or ‘up speccing’ to a designer or decorative radiators. For example, the vertical radiator is increasingly popular – many are a virtual extension of the popular towel warming radiators that we know from our bathroom.

Now, people are fitting these vertical radiators in their kitchens, entrance hallways, main living rooms, and in tight spaces in corridors landings – with the smaller horizontal footprint makes them easy to fir where a traditional horizontal radiator won’t.

Focal point

Radiators are increasingly being seen as part of the overall décor, and worth investing in: not than just a means of heating the home. In some cases, they are the focal point of a room – even more so now even coloured ones are available. Interior designers, architects and homeowners can choose radiators that match or contrast with the décor in their room. Some models are now available in as many as 36 different colours.

Moisture management

There is also a new range of rust-resistant ones that offer extra protection where moisture is present in the atmosphere –such as in bathrooms, showers or wet rooms.

Radiators are responsible for heating more than 90% of domestic properties in the UK and also a number of commercial properties too, so the radiator will be with us for a while longer!
