As Lockdown 2 begins on Thursday this week, we have written this article to update you on the Covid-safe policies and procedures that we have put into place when working in your home.

Further to the Prime Minister’ Saturday announcement and following the latest government guidance, we would like to assure all our customers that we are open for business during the new lockdown for essential work.

What Measures Will We Take to Keep You Safe?

Is a home visit necessary?

We will first try to work with you to resolve your problem without us needing to visit your home. It may be possible for us to conduct a virtual survey to quote for work. Using a video-calling system such as Skype, we may even be able to help you to safely resolve your heating problem yourself.

If a home visit is required

IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS OF CORONAVIRUS, INFORM US IMMEDIATELY. Get medical advice and isolate in line with Government guidance.

Preparations for you to make before we visit:

• Clear a pathway to the area we will be working in.
• Open every internal door on the way so we can limit surface contact.
• Upon arrival, ask to see our identity card and ask us what measures we will take to work safely.
• Please DO NOT shake hands.
• Maintain a two-metre distance from our engineer at all times.
• If possible, ask all household members to stay in another room while we work.
• Don’t offer us a drink –we’ll bring our own.

Payment

Once work is complete, we ask that you pay us using a credit or debit card where possible, rather than cash.
