Kitchen Sink And Tap Replacement

Our customer asked us to have a look at replacing their kitchen sink, the existing sink had started to leak and wanted to know if it was possible to just replace the sink only.  They didn’t want to go down the route of replacing work tops & units.

The first part of the survey was to measure the existing sink.  We then asked the customer what they were looking for in their new sink with regards to size, colour etc – we then provided the possible options.

After the initial survey a sink was selected and we returned to carry out the replacement. 

The customer was informed that the water would need to be isolated, the work area was then prepared and the engineer started to disconnect the hot & cold services & waste from the existing sink. They then unclipped & removed the securing bracket from the existing sink/worktop and proceeded to remove the sink.

Upon removal of the sink, the worktop that was underneath the sink was cleaned of any debris.  The engineer then applied masking tape to the worktop in order to aid the marking out of the work top that needed to be cut.  After the marking is carried out the worktop is cut to accommodate the new kitchen sink.  The new sink was then fitted including new taps and waste, connecting back on to the existing hot & cold services.  The worktop is then resealed and water is reinstated.  After testing, the customer was then shown the finished product which they were happy with.
