How to Clean Your Shower Cubicle
Start by removing any shampoos, shower gels and soap from the area then gather the equipment you need. Open the window or switch on the extractor fan while you’re cleaning.
Get Gleaming Stainless Steel
You don’t need fancy stainless steel cleaning products as long as you’ve got a lemon in your fruit bowl!
- Cut the lemon in half
- Rub it over the stainless steel surfaces and taps.
- If you need more power, sprinkle bicarbonate of soda on them before rubbing with the lemon.
- Wipe over with a soft cloth.
Make The Shower Door Shine
if the glass doors are smeared or dirty it’s not as simple as wiping them down with a soapy sponge.
- Wet the glass using the showerhead
- Soak the glass with white vinegar in a spray bottle
- Leave for at least 10 minutes
- Dip a sponge in some bicarbonate of soda and scrub the glass.
- Rinse off with fresh water
- Dry with a microfibre cloth, then use glass cleaner to finish.
Unclog the shower drain
If the water in your shower isn’t draining, you may have a blockage. You can make an effective and safe drain cleaner yourself:
- Pour one cup of bicarbonate of soda into the drain
- Follow it with 100 ml of white vinegar
- Once the fizzing stops, flush the pipe out with a kettle full of boiling water.
