Coronavirus Boiler Update
We know that everyone’s day to day life has been disrupted and that this could well become worse but, as far as possible for L&W Heating and Plumbing, we will continue to provide the level of service and customer care that we are known for. As the Covid-19 situation evolves, we will continue to do everything we can to keep our customers with hot water and heating.
- If you are self-isolating or suspect that you might have Coronavirus, we would ask as a precaution that you inform us when asking for an engineer visit so we can plan a suitable approach. Any visit involving a self-isolating customer will be reviewed case-by-case.
- To make sure that we can get to as many vulnerable people as we possibly can during this period, we are carefully balancing demand and our capacity to prioritise, just as you would expect.
- An annual boiler service is crucial to maintain the performance of your boiler and to keep its guarantee valid – but please be aware that this can be flexed for up to six months at the present time.
- Boiler manufacturers are committed to supporting their customers throughout this period and will offer some flexibility around timescales for servicing.
For our part, our engineers will:
- Self isolate if they are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19
- Ask our customers to clear any areas where we will work
- Not shake hands on arrival
- Maintain a two-metre distance between themselves and customers while at your property
- Carry personal protective equipment to safeguard their working environment
