Current government advice is that everyone in the UK should only leave their home to shop for fundamental necessities; to take one form of outdoor exercise a day; to travel for a medical need; to take care of a vulnerable person and to travel to and from work if it is ‘absolutely necessary’. We must also practise social distancing while in public. This means limiting contact with people who aren’t in your household and always maintaining a two-metre gap between other people. If you need to have work done by a professional in your house, you have to think: is it essential or can the project wait?
