The Importance Of Boiler Servicing

In addition to this, you are helping the climate by making sure the boiler is running in tip-top condition.  The pictures below illustrate one of our customer’s Worcester combination boilers – it was reported that the boiler was using more gas than usual & the boiler had developed an error code which indicated an ignition fault.

Upon the initial assessment, the fan pressure test indicated that the boiler heat exchanger required attention!  As per illustrations the fan, burner, baffle kit, burner gasket & spark electrodes were removed and replaced where necessary. The engineer then refitted the components and commissioned the boiler in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The gas supply was tested to check for any gas leaks & gas rated to make sure the boiler was running safely & efficiently.

It’s important to note that these kinds of issues can occur over time but are generally driven by poor or lack of servicing/maintenance.

Regular servicing allows our engineers to get a visual for any potential problems that may occur.  It’s always better to resolve a smaller problem before it escalates into a bigger one i.e complete failure of the boiler.
