Just because the country is on lockdown does not mean plumbing and heating emergencies stop. If you have an emergency, then you will want to be reassured about how your Gas Safe registered engineer will work during the Covid 19 Pandemic.

• No work will be carried out by a tradesperson who has coronavirus symptoms, no matter mild.
• When discussing an appointment with you, we ill ask if any occupants of the house are self-isolating, displaying symptoms of COVID19, or have received a positive diagnosis
• Where you are not self-isolating, displaying symptoms, and have not been diagnosed with COVID-19, we may attend for emergencies, whilst following best practice in line with Government guidance
• We will use PPE, such as overalls, gloves, eye protection, and a face mask for everyone’s protection.
• We will maintain a safe distance from you (two metres) as per current Government advice, including when we are waiting for you to open the door.
• We will not shake hands with anyone.
• We may ask you to stay in another room, away from the work area whilst work proceeds and may ask to open a window
• We will wash our hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds, before and after the job.
• If the engineer feels unsafe or at risk at any point, they will leave the premises if necessary.
• We may not ask for your signature on job completion but ask that you verbally agree and allow us to sign on your behalf
