How Much Does a New Boiler Cost?
The cost of a new boiler installation varies enormously, depending on what work is required, what parts are needed, where you live and who you choose to do the job. A recent investigation by Which? found that prices can vary by up to £3,200. See the chart below for the variances:-
Boiler Costs
The price of a new boiler varies depending on what type, brand and model you choose. Generally, a boiler with a higher heat output (for a larger home), costs more than a boiler that has a smaller heat output.
Installation Costs
The cost of installation also varies depending on the amount of work that is required. If pipework has to be changed or the location of the boiler changed, this increases the overall cost. As well as labour, the price of the boiler itself and a system cleanse, you should consider adding a filter to keep your system clean. This will add about £100 to £200 to the overall cost. Thermostatic radiator valves, costing about £15 per radiator, are an effective way to keep your room temperatures comfortable. They can also reduce heating bills, as they can be used to prevent unused rooms from being overheated.
